Sangría

Let’s Make Sangria!
With a Viña Maipo red wine, seasonal fruits, and lemon or orange soda, you can enjoy this simple and delicious homemade cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 ml Mi Pueblo Cabernet or another Viña Maipo red wine
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 apple
  • ½ cinnamon stick
  • 1 can (330 ml) of soda
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Ice

PREPARATION

  1. Squeeze the oranges, strain the juice, and pour it into the pitcher or container you’ll use for the sangria. Add the Merlot or other Viña Maipo red wine.
  2. Peel the apple and peaches, dice them, and add to the pitcher along with the cinnamon stick.
  3. To make the syrup, heat the sugar and water in a small pot over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add it to the pitcher and mix well.
  4. Let the sangria rest at room temperature for 2–3 hours to allow the flavors to blend and the wine to absorb the fruit’s essence.
  5. Just before serving, add the soda to maintain its bubbles. Serve in glasses filled with ice.
Enjoy this classic and refreshing sangria!
